A New Day – Our Facility
A New Day currently houses 13 boys & 4 full-time staff members and offers a real home with a large screen TV, DVD player, full kitchen, a backyard with room for the residents to play and bond, study rooms where they can concentrate on schoolwork without distractions and a dining area where everyone gets together for meals and fellowship.
Recreational Activities
Our philosophy is that boys need recreational activities to achieve personal, emotional and spiritual growth. So, we provide supervised activities for all of our residents depending on their personal & treatment goals. We take residents on group outings, events that enhance gross & fine motor skills development, social skills, communication & interpersonal relationships and anger management skills. Many of our outings are off-campus, local areas such as public pools & parks, movie theatres, concerts and more.
Educational Activities
Residents attend Klein ISO schools and are either driven to the school by our facility van or via a public school bus depending on the individual behavioral needs of the resident. We also provide tutoring, counseling, and any special needs requirements for our residents. In addition, residents who have developed the behavioral skills to handle off-campus activities will be taken to educational events such as museums, lectures, career events and more.
